Which is probably a good thing because it means that there are a lot of other characters in the story who are just as real and loveable as the main protagonist. Too often the supporting cast are cardboard cutouts who exist simply to help the hero on his way.
You know who would have made a great headmaster at Hogwarts, Hagrid.
So, I started reading this as: “You-Know-Who would have made a great headmaster at Hogwarts, Hagrid.” As if someone was telling Hagrid that Voldemort would have been great. Then, I knew that was a crazy idea and I realized what the sentence was actually saying.
And now I totally agree.
Today I experienced a first. Someone actually told me that the Harry Potter series was poorly written and the world-building was sloppy and unbelievable.
It made me a lot more disappointed than I thought it would.
So, I had a realization that kind of made me feel bad about being a Ravenclaw for the first time ever. In Luna’s bedroom, none of the people she painted on her wall and called friends were from her own house at school.
But, none of them were the loyal and friendly Hufflepuffs either, so I guess they, also, weren’t exactly living up to things.
